The City Of New York Backs dotNYC For .NYC Extension

Today the City of New York announced that it backing .dotNYC LLC, a private company, to become the city’s operating partner in obtaining and running the .NYC extension.

Antony Van Couvering, is the CEO of dotNYC and is  founder of Minds + Machines, which provides technical services for new top-level domains.  dotNYC LLC, is the company that former Mayor Ed Koch, openly endorsed to handle the .NYC extension

Back in June of this year, we wrote about how several companies were seeking the backing of the city to operate the .NYC extension.

Minds + Machines is a publicly traded company on the London Stock Exchange, and in full disclosure with today FTC rules, I am a shareholder.
