@LouKerner Episode #1 (Vid)

And the first sites people are blocking? My guess it’s the many so called “expert networks”. There’s a whole movement started with this release of people who share blocked sites with one another.
If you install this extension you will see how easy and addicting it is. I installed it a couple of days ago and already blocked some 30+ sites, and the search experience improved like nothing before.
At some point Google may publish what users are blocking, and the results are going to be devastating to some companies. 60K today, and millions in the next 12 months. My prediction, this will go big, far and wide.

If you have not herd of Flippa.com yet then come out of your cave and have a listen to what they have to offer. They are one of the biggest website sales marketplaces on the web at the moment and are getting very good results for their customers.
I have not used Flippa as yet but will be listing a few of my sites for sale there shortly.
If you have been contemplating listing a website for sale on Flippa.com but have yet to do so, it would normally cost you US$19 to list a website with them.
Andrew has kindly organized a discount code for OzDomainer Podcast listeners which will give you 15 credits towards your first listing so you will only have to pay the balance of US$4. Just use the discount code “ozdom1” to claim your 15 free credits.
If you have already used Flippa.com in the past please feel free to leave a comment on how you went and what website / domain you listed or sold on Flippa.
I hope you enjoy the podcast.
The domain industry has a unique new service available to help guide businesses just in time for the rush of new TLDs coming in the next few years. The powerhouse duo of Monte Cahn and Michael Berkens have teamed to form RIGHT OF THE DOT, LLC an Internet consulting and advisement firm specializing in new and existing TLD strategy, board advisement, premium domain and market positioning, sales and services.
Cahn and Berkens formed RIGHT OF THE DOT to help businesses springboard from the current environment where only a few domain extensions rule the market, to the domain industry of the future, where hundreds of new TLDs will create a new wild west of opportunity in Internet property, domain development, social networking, and management.
While there’s no knowing how the new extensions will yet play there’s definitely many opportunities helping those who may have interest. Proven track record, decades of combines experience, stellar reputation, hard working individuals. Need I say more? This is a great partnership and I expect Mike and Monte much success in the coming years.
And as I think further about this wild ride, my business experience has been about having stuff people want, and about relationships. I will leave the “having stuff people want” alone for now but will focus on the relationship part. See, if you’re at it alone, you are bound to stay alone. You have to engage others, talk, take calculated risks, step back if it doesn’t work, and try again. Right now I’m starting new relationships, I pick up the phone, I call strangers, I say hello, I propose relationships. Do I know where this will go? Not at all, and that’s a good thing.
So this old dog is resting, no new tricks. I plan more trips this year, more Asia, maybe some other places, I don’t know. I didn’t know I’ll be here doing domains 11 years ago, and I don’t know where I will be a year from now. Maybe domainining, maybe on some island having a pineapple juice?
Not knowing - it’s good thing.

Amazon, via their latest invested venture LivingSocial, has recently completed a very successful promo that resulted in over a million item sold for half price. What were they paying for? Pictures below will tell you the story.

Now that we see this trend, what can we learn from it? What opportunities will this bring on? The obvious one, the email business is back.

Have a great day!
Well 2010 was a very exciting year with many new projects undertaken but the main focus for 2011 will be development of many of the domains my company acquired over the past 3 or 4 years.
A focus on my ccTLD domains mainly in my home country of Australia will take up most of my attention & time.
Here are some of the domains that we will be working on in 2011 -
AudioBooks.com.au, Cardboard.com.au, DslrCameras.com.au, SlrDigitalCamera.com.au & SlrDigitalCameras.com.au, ElectronicDrums.com.au, GpsSoftware.com.au, LedDownlights.com & .com.au, LiquorLicensing.com.au, MiningJobs.net.au & MiningJobsAustralia.com & .com.au, Forex-Trading.com.au, StepLadders.com.au, SuperchargerKits.com.au & ShortCourse.com.au.
So there is enough there to keep my developers busy for 2011 and beyond. I will be keeping you up to date on how these sites are going over the new year and will be happy to accept any constructive criticism and feedback on how they can be improved.
In regards to the podcasts on this site, I will be stepping that up with a target of at least one new podcast every fortnight with a wide range of people in the web industry not just domainers but anything and anyone that is related to developing a successful domain name including Web Development, Content Management Systems, SEO, Pay Per Click Advertising, Social Media, Content Writing, Business Development & Management, Website Images, Graphic Design and a whole lot more. If you have any particular subject you would like to learn about and hear from experts on the subject, please drop me a line and let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you.
I would just like to thank all of you who have been guests on my podcast as without you guys it would not be anywhere near as interesting! Also a big thanks to all those who have been reading and listening to my blog / podcast over 2010, I apreciate your support. It is hard to believe that this site will have been running for 4 years come July 2011 so there will be some celebrating going on then I can assure you.
I wish you all a very Happy New Years and very prosperous 2011!
Cheers
Ed
