September 14th, 2011 Comments off

DirectI, the parent company of BigJumbo, DomainAdvertising.com, Logicboxes and ResellerClub amongst others has announced today with an email to its customers that it will be merging the DomainAdvertising and BigJumbo brands.

From the email:

DomainAdvertising.com is pleased to announce today, the merger of BigJumbo.com & DomainAdvertising.com into a single Domain Parking Platform. The merged entity will function under the brand DomainAdvertising.com.

This merger combines the best features from each of the platforms, further strengthens our position in the domain parking market. The move brings with it a gamut of advantages and possibilities – the combination of DomainAdvertising.com’s graphic-rich, topical templates and BigJumbo.com’s superior keyword optimization technology, more resources on the account management and optimization front, greater industry insights and access to more intelligence– just to name a few.

According to the login details email sent out to customers, it seems that Domain Advertising.com will also continue to accept traffic via URL forwarding.

DomainAdvertising was launched at the Targeted T.R.A.F.F.I.C. show in New York in 2009 and then hired former Fabulous.com executive Dan Warner as a CEO. He left the company at the end of June 2011.

What’s in it for “You”?

The new merged entity is a combination of the best features that each of the platforms provided independently.
bullet Our auto-learning algorithms use advanced delivery mechanisms to ensure that the most relevant and highest paying ads are displayed on your domains. This technology continuously re-optimizes every domain based on traffic and advertiser trends.
bullet Our solutions will also include handpicked phrases based on commercialization and volume; handpicked images and phrases are contextually grouped on the page; all the images are clickable and phrases are bound to each other (makes almost the entire page clickable!).
bullet Our team of traffic analysts will add that extra mile through the human optimization process to make the phrases even more contextual to the domain.
bullet Keeping in sync with BigJumbo, DomainAdvertising will now move to a net 15 day payout. Which means, you will now get paid within 15 days for every month.
bullet An added incentive is the cost advantage that we will gain due to economies of scale. The merger will mean lower average costs at all levels, which will in turn allow us to pass a larger share of the pie to you!
As a result of the merger, you will enjoy a striking new reporting interface that is designed to help you view your reports and analyze your data in a much better fashion. Feel free to give us feedback on the new navigation and UI; any inputs will be appreciated.

Please note: To help us with the integration process, we request you to make certain DNS/URL forwarding changes to integrate the internal structure. We have sent you the Login details and parking instructions in a separate email.

We are EXTREMELY EXCITED about the new platform and are confident that we can deliver additional value to your domain portfolio. Feel free to contact our Support Team (support@domainadvertising.com) if you have any questions for us.

HostGator Partners with LogicBoxes for its new Registrar

November 10th, 2010 Comments off

DirectI’s LogicBoxes unit announced today that that they are going to power HostGator’s new registrar. HostGator has over 7,000 servers under management and is planning to launch their registrar in 2011. They have been accredited under the name Launchpad.

“The LogicBoxes Registrar Automation Platform allowed us to avoid having to ‘Reinvent the wheel’, so to speak,” said Brent Oxley, Founder & Chairman of Hostgator. We realized that we’d have far greater ROI on our development resources by engaging them in perfecting our core products, viz. Hosting, rather than having them build Registry connections and manage all of its related tasks.”

“Our Platform represents a single point of Integration to over 50 popular TLDs across the internet, so companies like HostGator can effectively use the platform to go live as their own Registrar within a few weeks. And as we constantly add new TLDs, features to handle new ICANN and Registry policies, etc. to the platform, HostGator’s one-time integration effort is enough to always keep them on top of the ever-changing marketplace,” said Bhavin Turakhia, CEO & Founder of LogicBoxes.

HostGator partners with LogicBoxes to power its Registrar

LogicBoxes announced today that HostGator, one of the world’s leading Hosters, will be using its Registrar back-end to launch their long awaited registrar offering.

This is another example of what is now becoming a growing trend of Hosters becoming Registrars. LogicBoxes, through its unique offering, has been a key facilitator in allowing web hosting companies to claim the many benefits of becoming a registrar, whilst avoiding the corresponding increase in regulatory and technical hassles.

HostGator’s transition from reseller to Registrar is expected to happen by early 2011. They have also confirmed that the migration, which is being handled in consultation with LogicBoxes, will be completely seamless, with zero impact on their existing customers and resellers.

This move will provide Hostgator greater control over their domain name operations, strengthen their brand, and afford them better pricing on domain name registrations.

“This is a Win-Win collaboration – HostGator is an important player in the industry and we’re proud to have them onboard. There is a lot of synergy between both companies and we see this as a long-term partnership between both sides,” concluded Turakhia.
