June Domain & Internet Calendar
June marks the return to a busy schedule for domainers.
DomainFest Barcelona kicks off on June 7-9th (agenda is below)
The Live Domain Auction will be held on June 8th at 4pm
ICANN will be holding a meeting from June 19-24th
ICANN previously stated that they would be voting on the new gTLD program on June 20th, but since ICANN made that announcement its San Francisco meeting there has been a lot of developments especially with the Government Advisory Council and the vote has now been downgraded by ICANN from certain to possible.
All and all should be a very interesting meeting in a exotic location far, far away.
We will be there and reporting on developments.
If your going to Singapore for ICANN you might want to check out the CommunicAsia-Singapore 2011 which will be held June21st-24th at the $6.6 billion dollar Marina Bay Sands.

The Future Trend Auction is scheduled to be held on SnapNames.com from June 21st-28th
The auction will feature domains in the following fields:
- Solar Energy
- Cellphone Technology
- Alternative Energy (wind, wave, thermal, water, other)
- Robotics
- Green (any domain with the adjective “green”)
- 3D – (all areas of 3D technology)
- Holo- (Holographs, Holograms, Holographics)
- Virtual – (manufactured reality, visual, audio)
