Michelle and I took a weekend getaway trip for my birthday (getting older here, am now 35!) to the beautiful
Sanibel Island, FL.. We went
Shelling,
Kayaking, walking Wildlife Drive @
The J. N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, visited a couple of
local restaurants, and finished the trip with an
amazing sunset cruise at Tarpon Bay. It was a short trip, but nevertheless, a lot of fun !

Running through a flock on the beach. Yea, I’m there in the picture, somewhere.

The highlight of the trip? a stranded Seahorse I found on the beach, I saw him moved a little as we were walking on the beach. The Seahorse was definitely dying, if not for the lack of water, then either by someone stepping on it or the birds that surely would have found him and have him for dinner. I picked him up, placed him in the water, and while it took him a couple of minutes to get going, he finally started swimming into the deep water. It was all in the heat of the moment so we didn’t think of a camera or pictures, just to help the little creature live one more day.
Have a great day,
Sahar
