The Universal Geneve Tri-Compax is one complication short of being a grand complication. It doesn’t have a minute repeater but amazingly, it has everything else.
It’s a tripledate moonphase chronograph. The moonphase complication is the one that gives life to the face and harmonizes all that is going on. The hand painted face of the moon rotates every 29 days, as any moon phase should.
This is a dress watch. It’s got a herringbone-esque bracelet and is very comfortable to wear. Put it on when going to a fine restaurant or an important business meeting and its sure to get comments.
I liken watches like these to classic cars. Anyone can drive a new BMW. It takes personality to pick out a classic or a fine time piece like this one. This watch isn’t as expensive as you might think considering its age, complications and craftsmanship. Contact us to learn more about it.

As a card carrying member of all the world’s largest airline’s frequent flyer programs, I was particularly drawn to the Jacob & Co H24 Five Time Zone men’s watch.
I think most travellers have their little tricks to help them tell what time it is at home while away. For instance, if I’m in Europe’s CET time zone (Paris, Rome, etc) I just imagine the little hand is on the other side of the watch. Meaning that if it says 3 then I know it’s 9 at home in Atlanta. When I’m in South East Asia it’s also easy because I can just change am to pm or the other way around, and the time is correct.
It gets singnificantly more complicated when I’m traveling and need to know what time it is in L.A. or Tokyo.
This automatic movement watch handles the multiple time zones in an elegant yet stately way. It’s classy yet large and fierce enough so that when you arrive at your meeting in some far off place, everyone knows you are in charge.
Our well kept example of a world traveler’s timepiece comes with an extra brown leather band with stainless steel deployment clasp. It has been gently worn and can be yours for $8600 or best offer, enough of a savings to travel to each of the cities on the watch and more.

This watch has stopping power in the way a Glock handgun would have stopping power. You can’t help but to stare at it. Zenith watches can be like that. They have outrageous designs.
They are also well made. This particular model can go 1000 meters deep. Although, unless you work for BP you probably don’t have a need for that.
This is an impressive watch for the man that does impressive things. Or maybe if you just want to look like you do impressive things.
The Defy Xtreme name says it all. If you defy the rules of nature and enjoy extreme activities, this could be the watch for you.
The watch we have comes with box and papers and it’s in great condition. Not that you could really harm this watch if you wanted to.

Baume and Mercier or more accurately Baume et Mercier is one of the oldest watch companies in the world. Their Hampton series of watches all have a classic look and feel and the Hampton Spirit series adds a modern design on top of it.
The Baume and Mercier Hampton Spirit Moonphase Ref M0A08487 is a perfect example of that classic look meets modern design that they are going for.
What’s particularly nice about this piece is its price. It isn’t much more expensive than a flight to Europe, in coach.
It also isn’t common to find an automatic watch with the day, the date and a moon phase in this price point.
The watch we have is in excellent condition and comes complete with box and papers.

Franck Muller’s Conquistador line of watches have such an artistic look, it’s no wonder why they are worn by such talented artists as Elton John and Robin Williams.

These are not inexpensive watches but wearing one will tell you why. For the female who can afford it, these are show-stoppers.
The Franck Muller 8005 L SC Conquistador 18k Rose Gold Lady’s Watch is not only beautiful but it’s a complicated timepiece inclusive of automatic winding and the date. Such complications are not all that common on women’s watches as there is so much less space for the watchmaker to utilize. Not that this is a problem for Franck Muller, the self-proclaimed Master of Complications.
The watch we have includes the box and packaging but not the papers. It’s in excellent condition.

Known as the Steve McQueen Rolex, the Explorer II model 1655, was introduced in 1971. It’s a unique design for Rolex as it has an Orange 24 hour hand which was put their for cave explorers or spelunkers who wouldn’t know if it was night time or daytime without it. Only the Rolex Steve McQueen watches made between 1971 and 1974 had the orange 24 hour hand like the one we have here. From 1974 to 1985 the 24 hour hand would have been red and they discontinued the line after 1985.
Thus, this is a rare watch and a sought after piece for Rolex aficionados.
The watch we have does not come with box and papers.

Tough, strong, sturdy and mean are all words I’d use to describe this Zenith Defy Classic with a power reserve indicator Ref. 03.0516.685/01.MS16 watch. I especially like the bracelet. It has a an indestructible
feel to it.
In the pre-owned market of luxury watches, Zenith can be a good buy. They drop a lot in value after they are worn which is bad for the guy that bought it new but great for you if you are fine buying a used watch. After all, all watches are used once worn once. If you are looking in the $3000 – $5000 price range, it would be tough to find something better made than this watch.
If you like doing rough and tough things and are looking for a solid steel watch which can go 300 meters under water, this one could be for you.
For those readers that aren’t familiar with the Zenith brand, it’s worth pointing out that this is a 150 year-old Swiss watch company that has nothing in common with the electronics company other than a similar name. It’s pronounced Zen-ith, as in the Buddhist Zen.

Zenith makes many very complicated watches and it isn’t uncommon for their pieces to cost more than $100,000.
It’s a stealth-wealth look. Those that know their watches will appreciate it and those that don’t won’t want to take it from you.
The Zenith Defy Classic in these photos comes complete with original paperwork and box.
Please visit the listing on Latona’s for more information or to submit an offer.
If you like the idea of owning a Rolex but are looking for more of a dress watch, look at the Rolex Cellini line.
Or perhaps you just don’t want the standard round look that Rolex is so famous for.
Rolex Cellini watches come in all shapes and sizes.
Cellini is a brand within the brand that is Rolex. Rolex SA has been manufacturing them since 1975 and continue to do so today.
The Cellini for sale in this photo comes with the box but not the papers. Also, please note that this is a lady’s watch.

Panerai’s are popular. Boy, they fly off our shelves. It’s one of those few watch brands that have an excellent chance of increasing in value right after you buy them.
I have a good friend that’s a Navy Seal and loves his Panerai watches. It got me curious about the Navy’s effect on their style so I did a little research and learned something I thought all of you watch lovers would appreciate.
Most people who have seen a Panerai during the evening are quick to notice how bright the luminescence can be. After all, on a ship at night or deep in the water you need to be the numbers clearly.
During the second world war the Italian navy was buying Panerai watches for their officers. Panerai, at that time, divided their line into two basic types Panerai Luminor and Panerai Radiomir. There are many different Luminors and many different Radiomirs but Panerai watches are one of those two.
Luminor watches contain tritium while Radiomir watches contain radium.
The watch we have is the Panerai Radiomir Ref PAM00141. It is complete with box and papers.
Another thing worth noting about this exact piece is its crocodile strap. It has that look that works with jeans and a t-shirt as well as it does with a nice sports coat.
Wonderful in their simplicity and clarity, Panerai watches are great investments.

If you’d like to buy a special lady in your life a pretty watch in the $2000-$4000 price point, consider this Bertolucci Pulchra Ref. 111.8055.88.
It’s an elegant and discerning timepiece. It’s the sort of watch I would buy for my mother. That isn’t to say it’s for her age group, rather it’s classy and I’d hope she’d feel younger wearing it.
Incidentally, don’t hold the blue background against us. We know it looks bad and won’t be taking photos of watches like this any more going forward.
